John Buck

Director, is the coauthor of We the People: Consenting to a Deeper Democracy, about the sociocratic circle-organization method, a socially responsible system of governance that is emerging from the Netherlands. John's pioneering research on this circle-organization method, known as dynamic governance (or sociocracy), has gained him both a Master's degree from George Washington University and the highest level of certification offered by the Sociocratisch Centrum, Rotterdam, Netherlands.

As head of GovernanceAlive LLC, John brought dynamic governance to North America. He is also an incorporating director of Network for Sociocratic Society. He has led dozens of projects for a variety of organizations. He teaches that dynamic governance can fit well with many other human development methods to help people develop their collective wisdom about governing themselves.
